If you're doing jodan, or thinking of doing jodan, probably the most important thing is tsuka length - and that shinai delivers. Aside from that - great balance and the oval grip make it much nicer to use. Tip: get the extra-large tsuba, or you'll end up wasting time trying to enlarge the opening of an old one you have ;)

Simply masterclass. I started my solo sessions a couple months ago—since I don’t have a dojo near me—and I thought that it was finally time to look the part. These are the best knee protectors I've ever known. They are very comfortable to wear and are so soft when you kneel on the ground without a twinge in the back of the knee. This is my third pair.

Unfortunately last time I bought them there was no extra fee. But now I had to pay about 15$ for shipping and about 20$ extra tax. That's sad!

This Hakama is at the same time lightweight and sturdy while looking very elegant; It is comfortable to wear and the fabric holds its folds very neatly. I bought it in black and olive. The olive Hakama pairs very well with the white Cotton Iaido Gi and a contrasting obi. I love it.
